Have you had chinese Coca Cola Chicken Wing before? Did you know it’s a chinese dish and is a common family recipe. It is very similar to soy sauce chicken. I think it is a “Canto” dish that uses brown sugar. The coke will tenderize the meat of the chicken and add more flavors.
I made this once with American coke, but this time I think it will taste better with Mexican Coke because it is made with sugar cane.
Coca Cola Chinese Chicken Wings

15 pieces of Chicken Wings
3 cloves Garlic sliced
4 slices Ginger
2 dried red Chillies
1 can of Coca Cola (Mexican version – 330 ml)
1/4 cup of light soy sauce
1/8 cup of dark soy sauce
2 tbsp chinese cooking wine
2 scallions, chopped
a few pinches of freshly ground black pepper
oil
INSTRUCTIONS:
Difficulty Level: 2 – Cut, Mix, and Heat
Preparation Time: 5 Minutes
Cook Time: btw 20 and 35 minutes

2. Heat a pan and add 2 tbsp of oil. When it is hot, add the chicken wings and fry both sides until golden brown.
3. Remove the chicken wings.
4. In the same pan over medium heat, add the dried red chillies (break each into half), garlic, and ginger. Lightly fry until fragrant.
5. Add the light soy sauce, coca cola, and cooking wine. Bring the mixture to a boil.
6. Add the chicken wings. Set the pressure cooker for 10 minutes at “High Pressure”.
7. Once the chicken wing is cooked, remove the wings and reduce the liquid to a glaze.
8. Transfer the chicken wing to the plate, season with black pepper, and pour the sauce over it.
9. Garnish with scallions and enjoy!
